What is Collagenase (CCh) (Xiapex) and how does it work?

Collagenase (Xiapex) is an enzyme produced in the lab by gene recombination. When Collagenase (Xiapex) is injected in the Peyronie’s disease plaque, it breaks the scar tissue at multiple points which weakens the plaque. The weakened plaque is more elastic and can then stretch with erections, manually and by using the vacuum pump device. The more the plaque stretches the less the deformity and the greater the penile length gain.
